We store our furniture in purpose built warehouses at Sheriff Hutton, close to the City of York.
Although our furniture starts life in pristine condition, it takes a great deal of work to keep all our hire items maintained to the standard our customers have grown to expect.
In 2009 we installed a full paint spray facility to allow us to keep all our hire chairs in the best possible condition. Our team use a special chamber that uses minute glass beads to remove old paint from every nook and cranny. From there the chairs are primed and repainted using the same techniques that were originally applied in the factory.
Our Limewashed chairs don’t get forgotten about either. We use a seven stage process to remove and reapply this complex finish. The way we do this remains a closely guarded company secret.
The result – chairs that really do look as good as new.
As chairs are prepared for delivery, they are each inspected and, if they don’t meet our standards, moved to a holding area ready for painting. This way we make sure that every customer ends up with perfectly finished chairs.
There’s no point in having pristine chairs if they suffer damage during delivery, and there’s more than one way to deliver furniture;
We prefer to use a modern fleet of purpose built LoLoader vans and lorries.
Our vans are made to measure so the chairs fit exactly 5 wide / 10 high.
If you’d like to come and see how we do things for yourself, or fancy taking a look at our furniture showroom, just head down to Sherfiff Hutton – we’ll have the kettle on ready.
